Free Combinator patch 2 (with demo song)
Apr 20th, 2007 by Will Eifler in Recording, Equipment, General, Free Sounds
This week I’m offering another free Combinator patch: last time included a DX-7 piano emulation and a pizzicato-type arpeggio & pad sound, useful for making rhythmic beds of sound. This week i’ve got another rhythm pad, using the powers of the Combinator to change randomly between the 30 different waveforms of no less than 4 Subtractor synthesizers. If you want a different sound pattern, all you have to do is right-click on each Matrix pattern sequencer and hit “Randomize Pattern”, or of course you can program your own.
If you’d like to learn how to create this patch, you can read about it here on Propellerhead Software’s site.
As per the title, I also threw together a short demo song to demonstrate this patch being used in a song - right-click here and hit “Save Target As” to download it.
If you would like the .rps Reason published file for that song, you can download it here.
