Category Info: Insert cables are cables with a single stereo connection that splits to two seperate connectors, one left channel and one right channel. The most common insert cable is a stereo 1/4” splitting to two mono 1/4”.
These cables are for the insert circuit of a mixer: the stereo 1/4” is plugged into the insert of a mixer channel, the left channel 1/4” is plugged into the input of an signal processing or effects unit, and the right channel 1/4” is plugged into the output of the unit.
