Instrument & Guitar Cable
Category Info
1/4” instrument cables, also known as guitar cables, are mono, unbalanced cables used to connect guitars, basses, keyboards, instruments with pickups such as violins, violas, cellos, double basses, etc., to breakout boxes and mixers.
We make a differentiation between “instrument” cables and “guitar” cables. For instrument use, we use Mogami 2524 wire, which has excellent transparency and a flat frequency response. Cables with this wire are best suited for wide frequency range instruments.
Electric guitars and basses occupy only a fairly small frequency range (typically 100hz-800hz and 30hz to 200hz, respectively), compared to other instruments. Therefore, a slighty more characteristic cable may be desired. Canare GS-6 wire, which we use in all of our Canare guitar cables, has a frequency response that so perfectly accentuates guitar that it is the choice of countless performers worldwide.
If we don't have an instrument cable with the connections or lengths you need, we will be glad to custom-build it for you. Please contact us with the specifications and quantities you are looking for, and we will send you a quote.
